The 41st Annual Lunar New Year Celebration

Hosted by the Japanese American Community

Come “Together for a Brighter Tomorrow” this New Year with members and friends of the greater Asian American community!

Welcome in the Year of the Dragon with the Asian American Coalition of Chicago at the 41st Annual Lunar New Year Celebration. Festivities, hosted by the Japanese American community, will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Drury Lane in Oakbrook, Illinois.

Doors will open at 4:30 pm for the reception, during which guests can take advantage of photo opportunities with friends, visiting dignitaries, and political candidates. Those who make the rounds of the exhibit tables will be able to participate in a special Passport raffle. A silent auction will feature Asian collectibles, as well as gift certificates for venues around town.

Ferocious, gape-jawed lions will lead guests into the banquet hall, where the stage program will begin at 6 pm. Outstanding individuals from participating Asian communities will be honored, as well as the people or organizations that elevate the standing of all Asian Americans. Prominent elected officials will extend greetings, and cultural entertainment will round out the program. And along the way, dinner will be served.
