The Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC) will be celebrating the Lunar New Year with its 39th Annual Celebration, on March 12, 2022 at the Drury Lane Theatre & Events, in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. This year, the AACC will celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding civic and business leaders who have made significant contributions to uphold the rich cultural heritage and well-being of each community.

The 2022 Lunar New Year Celebration welcomes The Year of the Black Water Tiger. There are a total of 16 Asian American communities within the greater Chicago area and each takes turn playing host to this auspicious annual event. This year, the Malaysian Club of Chicago has the distinct honor of hosting the Asian Pacific American communities' most important event, on behalf of the Malaysian American Community under the leadership of Dr. Kim K Tee. The Lunar New Year is the largest annual celebration of its type in the Midwest.
